Personal (a Verba demo)

Most of what you see in the demos. With the theme and the Pro plugin installed and nothing else, you get about 90% of it. The Pro plugin does the work of dozens of separate plugins, and with Elementor and the integrations on top it opens up much more.

Our own replacements for the mass-market plugins premium themes usually rely on. Take newsletters. Most themes send you to a free Mailchimp plugin from the WordPress directory, which wants a paid upgrade before you can make a second form, and whose dated markup only fits a theme after a lot of custom CSS. Our Mailchimp integration is written from scratch as a layer between Verba and Mailchimp, so its forms are part of the theme from the start. How theme integrations work explains the rest.

Only for services you choose to connect. Verba itself needs no extra payment. Some integrations link it to services outside WordPress, and those need an account of your own: a multilingual site through Weglot needs a Weglot subscription, and search through Algolia needs an Algolia account, which has a free plan. Accounts, plans and API keys for those services are between you and the provider.

It runs on the AI connector built into WordPress 7.0. You connect your AI provider to WordPress, not to Verba, and the theme reaches it through JKD Toolkit. We don’t build a connector of our own or add a fee on top through our API. You pay your provider directly for what you use, whether that is ChatGPT, Claude or another provider WordPress supports. Yes, though Verba doesn’t start from Elementor. We built it in layers: native settings and customization first, the block editor next, and Elementor last, as a builder for page content. There are no Elementor demo options or style kits, since those belong to themes built around Elementor.

You can still move Verba over to Elementor. Turn off the native navigation and build your own, or switch any template part, including archives, the footer, single posts and sidebars, from native rendering to Elementor. We plan to release demos built this way. Elementor settings to configure once covers the setup.

Because we think those tools are out of date. They are still the standard for premium WordPress themes, mostly because authors are comfortable with them. Most themes put their new ideas into the design alone. We think installing and running a theme deserves the same attention, so that is where most of our work goes.
